Working the night shift at a convenience store can be mind-numbingly dull, but this particular evening turns into something far more memorable for our protagonist. As he zones out behind the counter, a young couple stops by for snacks, their affectionate display making him wistful for companionship. Just when he's sinking into loneliness, the store doors slide open to reveal two girls in full ninja cosplay - Suzuran and Kikyō, who will soon turn his mundane existence upside down.
These aren't your average Akihabara visitors though - they're actual ninjas on a mission, though you wouldn't know it from their comical behavior. Suzuran, voiced by Suzu Sazanami, suffers from classic chuunibyou delusions, claiming her differently colored eye is an "evil eye" (it's just a contact lens) and that her bandaged arm contains a sealed demonic dragon (it doesn't). She tries to act superior but her jokes often backfire spectacularly.
Meanwhile, Kikyō (Rin Mitaka) plays the older sister role with her innocent, ditzy personality that somehow manages to be both endearing and erotic. She has slightly more common sense than Suzuran but still qualifies as an airhead, yet she's surprisingly competent as a ninja when it matters. The dynamic between these two creates constant entertainment - Kikyō admires Suzuran like a sister but gets teased for her clumsiness, while Suzuran's grand delusions are met with Kikyō's warm understanding.
The game shines with its technical presentation, featuring smooth character animations through the E-mote system that bring these quirky ninjas to life. You'll encounter high quality event CGs that capture both the comedic and intimate moments, with the story unfolding across different routes and endings based on your choices. What makes the setting particularly engaging is how it blends the supernatural ninja elements with the very real backdrop of contemporary Japanese town life.
Between Suzuran's failed attempts at being cool and Kikyō's accidental erotic situations (she somehow becomes the victim of the protagonist's accidental groping with surprising frequency), this visual novel delivers both laughs and genuine heart. The talented team behind it - AkasaAi on illustrations, Linkedbrain Inc. handling scenario, and Yujiro Usuda as producer - have created something that balances absurd humor with genuine character connection.
